The Elodie’s opaque matte glass shade diffuses the light, so instead of a bright, glaring bulb you get a soft, even glow that’s easy on the eyes. With a warm white bulb around 2700–3000K, it creates a calm, cozy atmosphere. Is the Elodie a good size for a nightstand?
Yes. At 18.5″ tall and 11.8″ wide, the Elodie is compact enough for most nightstands, desks and side tables without crowding the surface, while still having enough presence to stand out. It also looks lovely in pairs on matching nightstands or at either end of a console table.
Can the Elodie be dimmed?
The Elodie isn’t dimmable. It has a simple push-button on/off switch. For a softer glow, try a lower-wattage warm white LED bulb, since the matte glass shade already diffuses the light beautifully. It takes a standard E26/E27 bulb up to 40W and plugs into any standard outlet with a 59″ (150 cm) cord.
