About the Dahlia’s molded colored glass
Flowers have inspired lighting for well over a century. Around 1900, the Art Nouveau movement turned lamps into works of art, and designers such as Louis Comfort Tiffany created famous glass shades shaped and patterned like blossoms, lilies and petals, proving that light could be as beautiful as a garden in bloom. The Dahlia continues that tradition with a shade of molded glass. Molding, or pressing, glass is a technique that took off in America in the 1820s, when glassmakers learned to press molten glass into shaped molds, making it possible to create intricate, sculptural forms with smooth, flowing curves like the Dahlia’s petals. Its rich colors come from tiny amounts of minerals and metals melted into the glass: deep wine reds and earthy olive greens are created this way, while the soft Milky finish recalls milk glass, the opaque white glass that was hugely popular in Victorian and mid-century homes. When light passes through the colored glass, it’s gently tinted and softened, so the Dahlia casts a warm, atmospheric glow that colors the wall around it, adding a touch of artistry and romance to any room.

Which color should I choose?
Wine Red is rich and dramatic, perfect for adding a bold accent against cream, terracotta or warm wood. Olive Green is earthy and calming, beautiful with plants, linen, rattan and natural textures. Milky gives a soft, timeless white glow that suits light, airy rooms and vintage-inspired spaces. All three are made from molded glass, so they look beautiful on the wall even when they’re switched off.
What bulbs does it use, and can it be dimmed?
The Dahlia uses two E14 bulbs, a slim European-style base that’s easy to find online in LED versions. Bulbs aren’t included, so you can choose your preferred warmth; we recommend warm white LEDs at 2700–3000K, which glow beautifully through the colored glass. The Dahlia is not dimmable, so it’s best paired with a standard on/off wall switch.
How big is it, and how is it installed?
The Dahlia measures 11.0″ W × 9.4″ H and projects 5.1″ D from the wall (28 × 24 × 13 cm), and lights an area of approximately 54–108 sq ft (5–10 m²). It’s wall mounted, works with US 110–120V homes, and we recommend installation by a licensed electrician. It’s designed for indoor, dry spaces such as bedrooms, hallways, living rooms, dining areas and entryways.
